FRIDAY 11th August 2023: PEC PPDC team visited SIR SYED UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY where all faculties DEAN and HOD’S were present along with professionals from the industry. VC SSUET DR. Vali Uddin welcomed PEC PAKISTAN DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE – PPDC team with acknowledgement opening remarks on the engagement by PEC at all univerties level since 2 years which was less in past years.
ENGR. MIR MASOOD RASHID, convenor PPDC and Advisor to Chairman PEC briefed on the PEC Road map along with the project initiatives and measures for engineering community and students so that better skilled engineers be produced for the market. Being critical role of engineers in the economical development of any country, focus must be on the quality and giving back to society deliverables. For same PEC PPDC took several initiatives like PEC E- GATE WAY ; ENGINEERING CAPSTONE EXPO ; FYDP- FINAL YEAR DESIGN PROJECTS; PEC E-LIBRARY; GIT – GRADUATE INTERNSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM ; 17-UNSDG’S ADOPTION BY 2025; DAY TRIP LEARNING at all universities level for industry exposure and PEC efforts in forming 1st ENGINEERS PARLIAMENTARIAN CAUCUS. All the projects briefing given live at PPDC website with demonstrations for the Stakeholders to make them familiar and share onwards among the engineering community and industries.
VC Engr Vali uddin at his closing remarks appreciated the efforts being put up by PEC especially in new avenues instead of historically patterned. He also volunteered his university services for support lead in PEC E-LIBRARY project for which committee has been announced. He also ensured that SSUET will make full benefit to engineering students by aligning themselves with active participation in all PEC initiatives.
